National League clubs enter FA Cup as fourth qualifying round is drawn

By Adam Ellis
The fourth qualifying round of the FA Cup draw has been made as north and south sections saw National League clubs enter the fray for the first time.
Craig Harrison’s Hartlepool United will take a 56-round-mile trip to take on ‘ Super Cup’ victors after they dumped York City out of the competition in a dramatic 3-2 victory on Saturday.
1874 Northwich ensured their name was in the hat at this stage of the competition for the first time with a 2-2 draw against Ossett Town – Solihull Moors await the replay winner at Damson Park.
John Still will look to replicate Dagenham & Redbridge’s form in the cup in 2015-16 when a run took them to Goodison Park in the third round, losing 2-0. They face an encounter much closer to home in the fourth qualifying round as east Londoners Leyton Orient make the trip to the London Borough of Barking & Dagenham Stadium.
Shildon hero Adam Vernicle will get to test himself against National League Guiseley after firing in two goals to help the Railwaymen advance into the draw with a 3-2 victory at Banbury United.
Guiseley almost brought to an end Lincoln City’s famous run last season before it got started, taking them to a replay at before 1-2.
