Gloucester City midfielder Darren Mullings has left the club to join National League South rivals Chippenham Town.
The combative central player was enjoying his second spell with the club, having rejoined the Tigers earlier this year from Weston-Super-Mare.
With competition in the City squad high, manager Tim Harris told the club’s website that Mullings’ move away from the Jubilee Stadium suited all parties.
The boss said: “With Chris Knowles, Joe Hanks returning to the squad and the loan of Charlie Ten Grotenhuis from Bristol Rovers, I have discussed with Darren and it was agreed it is time to move on.
“Darren has been an excellent part of the club in two spells. I have thanked him for his contribution and we give him our best wishes for the future.”
Meanwhile, Gloucester are preparing for Saturday’s trip to Concord Rangers, hoping to make it back-to-back wins in the league.
The Tigers secured an excellent three points on the road last weekend, comfortably beating Poole Town 3-0, and could pull even further away from the relegation zone with a win against Concord, who have drawn five games in a row.
