FC United of Manchester goalkeeper Lloyd Allinson has extended his stay at the club until the end of the 2018/19 season.
The 24-year-old shot-stopper, who joined the Rebels from League Two side Chesterfield during the summer, has played in all 25 of the club’s games this season.
The extension of Allinson contract is a huge boost to player/manager Tom Greaves, and the newly appointed boss is delighted with the news.
Speaking to FC United’s website, Greaves said: “Myself and the rest of the backroom staff are delighted that Lloyd has committed to the club until at least the end of season 2018/19. This further show Lloyd’s attitude and commitment towards FC United.
“Lloyd has been great for us so far this season and has shown his quality week in week out – and we feel Lloyd will only develop further and improve the more experience he gets.
“We are very pleased to have a goalkeeper of this quality as our number one going forward.”
Damian Chadwick, CEO at FC United added: “We were pleased to capture Lloyd’s signature in the summer and his performances this season have emphasised his importance to the team.
“To secure Lloyd for next season is a clear message that the club is planning for next season early.”
