FC Halifax Town manager Billy Heath has made a late addition to his squad ahead of their National League match at Aldershot Town today with the signing of midfielder Michael Collins.
The Shaymen are without a win since September 30 in the National League, a run of 11 games.
The 31-year-old joins for the remainder of the season, having started his career with local neighbours Huddersfield Town, making 173 league appearances scoring 19 goals between 2004 and 2010.
He moved to Scunthorpe in 2014 where he played 79 times in the league and had a loan spell with AFC Wimbledon.
Collins has also played for Oxford United, where he had a loan spell with York City, before signing for Bengaluru in 2016. Last season he played 30 times for Halifax’s league rivals Leyton Orient.
Collins has also represented the Republic of Ireland U18’s U19’s and U21’s teams and is the U18’s lead coach at EFL League One side Bradford City.
