Maidstone United have added striker Ross Lafayette and defender Dean Beckwith on loan from their National League rivals Sutton United.
The struggling Stones are 13 games without a win in the league and manager Jay Saunders has moved to bring in some experience.
Saunders will hope former Welling striker Lafayette can replace the goals scored by departed forwards Joe Pigott and Zavon Hines, who left in the transfer window.
The 30-year-old was prolific during a two-year spell at Welling, scoring 19 goals as they won the Conference South in 2013.
He then signed for Luton and later Eastleigh before joining Dover last season where he scored 12 goals.
Beckwith will add some vital experience in the leaky Maidstone defence. The 34-year-old began his career with Gillingham before going on to make more than 130 appearances for Hereford, winning promotion to the Football League in 2006.
He also played for Northampton and Luton before joining Eastleigh in January 2013, moving to Sutton in the summer of 2015.
The duo have joined just in time for Maidstone’s visit to Kent rivals Bromley on Saturday.
Meanwhile, Sutton have extended striker Tommy Wright’s contact until May 2020, who has netted 15 goals in all competition this season. Captain Jamie Collins has also agreed to stay until 2020.
