Glenn Tamplin threatens to sack himself if Billericay Town lose in quarter final of the FA Trophy on Saturday

Owner Glenn Tamplin has threatened to sack himself if Billericay lose their quarter final against on Saturday.
Ricay are top of the Bostik Premier and have reached the final of the Essex Senior Cup and Cup, but back-to-back defeats in the league has left Tamplin questioning his position.
First, beat Billericay 3-1 last Saturday and then claimed a 2-1 win last night to leave the Blues top by one point, with six games in hand over their closest rivals .
Tamplin tweeted his dismay this morning, saying: “Truly sorry all at BTFC I’m embarrassed now with my players as I’m their manager.
“Lose Saturday when it really matters I will sack myself and actually considering it now depending on answers from players on something I’ve put to them be interesting if they do the right thing.”

This drastic measure comes just days after Tamplin told Echo News the club wasn’t sustainable if attendances didn’t improve.
After Billericay’s semi-final victory over Casuals in the Essex Senior Cup on Monday in front of a 442, Tamplin said: “The attendances are worrying me.
“The long and the short of it is that if crowds stay the amount it was against , this club won’t survive.
“The fans and community need to come. We need them here, but it was a cold and windy Monday night that we played against Corinthian-Casuals on.
“We’re at home in the quarter-finals of the FA Trophy on Saturday, with the chance to go to if we make it to the final.
“We need 2,000 fans to be here against Wealdstone.”
