Wrexham Manager Andy Davies has refused to be disheartened following last night’s disappointing defeat at Ebbsfleet.
Davies’ side were emphatically beaten at Stonebridge Road where second half goals from Corey Whitely, Danny Kedwell and Luke Coulson gave Ebbsfleet a comfortable 3-0 victory.
The result leaves The Dragons occupying the final play-off position in seventh place. However, Wrexham no longer have their destiny in their own hands as eight-placed Dover Athletic are just two points behind the Welsh side having played a match less.
Wrexham have three games remaining this season and Davis is confident that if his side perform to the best of their ability they will be able to achieve maximum points,
Speaking to the Daily Post after yesterday’s match the Wrexham boss said, “I believe in the players we have got in the dressing room. I do believe we can go and win all three games.
“But that belief we have got to try and transfer that to the pitch and like I said before actions speak louder than words. You have got to go and perform and we have got to go and get a result on Saturday.”
Davies has only been in the Wrexham hot seat for a matter of weeks after taking up the job following Dean Keates’ departure to Walsall. The former Assistant Manager has presided over one win, three draws and two defeats.
The Dragons face the first of three must win games when the play Dagenham and Redbridge at the Racecourse Ground on Saturday.
