Carshalton Athletic manager Peter Adeniyi believes that passionate home support could be a vital factor as his side look to secure promotion from the Bostik South division against Whyteleafe on Saturday.
The Robins, who require three points to assure themselves of playing in the Bostik Premier League next season, will be looking to follow in the footsteps of Lewes FC who secured promotion on Wednesday evening after easing to victory over Horsham.
Speaking to the Surrey Comet, Adeniyi said, “I urge all supporters to bring family and friends along, or if you haven’t been for a long time then this should be as good a reason as any to come see us.
“The boys have been superb all season and the club is heading in the right direction both on and off the pitch. It would be great to see over 500 inside Colston Avenue for the Whyteleafe game.”
Carshalton are on a superb run of form and have only lost once in the league since November. This run has left The Robins locked in a tantalizing race for the title with Lewes. Adeniyi’s side are currently sitting in second position, two points behind Lewes, however they still have their destiny in their own hands by virtue of holding a crucial game in hand over their title rivals.
