Staines Town Chairman Matthew Boon has confirmed that a takeover at the club is likely to be completed within the next few days.
Boon has been searching for new owners at the club for a number of weeks and today revealed that major developments are to be expected shortly.
In a statement from Bonn on the club’s official website read, “You will all know that over the past few weeks I have been seeking a new owner for the club with the view to a new and sustainable future.
I am pleased to advise that we are now in the final stages in completing this process, whilst not finalised they should be a formality in the next few days. Another press release will be issued soon outlining their plans and ideas, but I am confident that this decision is the correct one for the future of the club.
Staines are currently sitting in 8th position in the Bostik Premier League table and are just four points outside the play-off positions with two games in hand over a number of teams around them. The Swans face a tough trip to Met Police this evening.
