Leatherhead have confirmed that manager Sammy Moore and his assistant Jack Midson have both left their positions at the Bostik Premier club.
Moore, who was appointed as player manager in the summer following the departure of Jimmy Bullard, guided The Tanners agonizingly close to the play-off positions this season.
Following a 2-0 win at Tonbridge Angels on the final day of the season Leatherhead were pipped to the last play-off spot by Leiston on goal difference.
A statement on Leatherhead’s official website read: “The club have today parted company with Sammy Moore & Jack Midson.
“We would like to thank them for all their work at the club helping us to 6th place finish, 2nd Round of the FA Cup and runners up in the Surrey Cup.
“We have been on a journey from the appointment that raised a few eyebrows at the time, we have worked tirelessly together to move the club forward which we undoubtedly have. The pair are ambitious and have never hidden the fact which success inevitably brings with it interest from other suitors.
“What a fantastic year for the club with so many highs including games away at Margate & Billericay to Wycombe, a league club away from home. These memories will live long in the memory and really what non-league football is all about. This has elevated the club both on & off the field making the next appointment a challenge.
“Thanks for the memories guys & good luck with your next chapter. I know Leatherhead FC will always give you good thoughts.”
Both Moore and Midson had distinguished playing careers with the former representing the likes of Leyton Orient and Dover Athletic, while Midson turned out for clubs including Oxford United and Dagenham & Redbridge.
The management duo have been heavily linked with a move to National League South club Concord Rangers in recent days.
