National League club Barrow have announced that manager Ady Pennock and his assistant Jamie Day have left the Cumbrian club.
Pennock took charge of The Bluebirds in October following the dismissal of Paul Cox and guided the club away from the National League drop zone.
A statement on Barrow’s official website read, “Everyone at Barrow AFC would like to thank Ady & Jamie for all of their efforts to keep the club in the National League last season and wish them both well for the future.”
Before his short stint in charge of the Bluebirds, Pennock managed a range of clubs within both the Football League and Non-League including Welling United, Forest Green Rovers and Gillingham. .
Barrow finished the National League season in 20th position in the table, just one point above the drop zone, after the race to stay in the division went down to the final day of the season.
Ultimately, despite their 2-1 defeat to already relegated Chester, the Cumbrians stayed up after Woking failed to beat Dover.
