Slough Town sign midfielder Sam Togwell

National League South side have completed the signing of experienced midfielder Sam Togwell.
The 33-year-old arrives at Arbour Park with a wealth of playing experience. During a 16-year career, Togwell has represented the likes of Barnsley, and and achieved promotion from the , League One and League Two.
The midfielder played for National League club last season, however he was released by manager Andy Hessenthaler this summer after enduring an injury-hit campaign.
Togwell will link up with his brother Lee who is currently a player-coach at Arbour Park.
A statement on Slough’s official club website read: “Living local to Slough, (Sam’s) desire this summer was to find a club close to home as he also works in the area now and obviously the chance to play with his brother was a big factor.
“He watched several games last season and was impressed with both the team and the set-up at Arbour Park so this is a great fit for him and us.”
