National League South side Slough Town have completed the signing of experienced midfielder Sam Togwell.
The 33-year-old arrives at Arbour Park with a wealth of playing experience. During a 16-year career, Togwell has represented the likes of Barnsley, Scunthorpe United and Chesterfield and achieved promotion from the National League, League One and League Two.
The midfielder played for National League club Eastleigh last season, however he was released by manager Andy Hessenthaler this summer after enduring an injury-hit campaign.
Togwell will link up with his brother Lee who is currently a player-coach at Arbour Park.
A statement on Slough’s official club website read: “Living local to Slough, (Sam’s) desire this summer was to find a club close to home as he also works in the area now and obviously the chance to play with his brother was a big factor.
“He watched several games last season and was impressed with both the team and the set-up at Arbour Park so this is a great fit for him and us.”
