Bostik League club Kingstonian have completed their fourth signing of the summer by bringing in defensive midfielder Josh Webb from Staines Town.
Webb, who is the son of former England international Neil, began his career in the youth ranks at Reading. However, the midfielder decided to move into Non-League after struggling to break into the first-team picture at the Madejski Stadium.
Moves to Weymouth, Farnborough, Eastleigh, Basingstoke Town, Walton and Hersham, Hungerford Town and Harrow Borough followed before Webb joined Staines in the summer of 2017.
Webb was a regular feature in The Swans’ starting line up last season as they finished up in eight position in the Bostik Premier.
Speaking to Kingstonian’s official club website, Webb expressed his delight at the move. The former Staines man said, “”I’m buzzing to sign form Kingstonian – the club’s moving in the right direction with Leigh and the signings that he’s made, and I’m happy to be a part of it.”
Webb follows Elliott Buchanan, Tommy Brewer and Ugo Udoji in making the move from Staines to King George’s Field.
