National League North club Guiseley have completed the signing of striker Kingsley James from Chester.
The 26-year-old England C international joined Chester after leaving Macclesfield last summer.
James came through the youth ranks at Sheffield United before joining Port Vale in 2011 after finding his first-team opportunities limited at Bramall Lane.
The defender then moved on to Hereford and Halifax, where he was part of the Bulls’ 2016 FA Trophy winning side.
Although he was on the books at Chester last season, James spent the latter part of last season on loan at their National League rivals Barrow.
James’ performances in the Barrow backline actually helped the Bluebirds avoid the drop at the expense of his parent club.
Guiseley may well be able to see their new signing in action tonight, with James expected to feature in a pre-season friendly against Bradford City at Nethermoor.
