Farnborough manager Spencer Day has strengthened his squad by completing a triple signing.
The Yellows have announced that Brendan Murphy-McVey, Jay Gasson and Ibby Akanbi have all come through the door at Cherrywood Road.
Murphy-McVey has joined from Staines, Gasson has signed on a dual registration with Kingstonian and Akanbi has signed after having a spell as a free agent.
Speaking to Farnborough‘s official club website, Day said, “Brendan (Murphy-McVey) I was close to signing in pre-season but it didn’t quite happen. He’s an exciting midfielder that has had rave reviews and is a different type of midfielder to what we have.
“Jay (Gasson) is helping us out short-term due to our injury and unavailability list and I’m grateful to him and Leigh [Dynan] at Kingstonian. I’m sure a lot of Boro fans will be pleased to see Gas back in yellow and blue! I tried to sign him in the summer but distance sadly stopped a permanent agreement.
“Ibby (Akanbi) has come to try and earn a deal. He’s an exciting winger/striker and will be a good boost to the squad.”
Meanwhile, the club have also announced the departure of midfielder Jack Barton.
“Jack wants to be playing and with work commitments can’t see the opportunities here.
He’s been a fantastic lad to have around and had a great season in our promotion year the season before last. We wish Jack all the very best in his professional and football career and thank him for all his time at Boro.” said Day.
