Northern Premier League club have Matlock Town have moved swiftly to replace Dave Hoole by appointing Dave Frecklington as their new first team manager.
Frecklington has was in charge of Gainsborough Trinity until February and impressed during a spell in charge of Evo-Stik South side Spalding United.
The club’s new manager is expected to take charge of his first training session on Thursday ahead of Saturday’s game against table toppers South Shields.
Speaking to the club’s official website, Matlock chairman Tom Wright said: “We are delighted to welcome Dave to the club with his assistants Terry and Chris. Dave has good experience at this level and the one above.
“He knows the Northern Premier League and has plenty of contacts. We are confident he will get us up the league, we wish him every success and I know our supporters will get behind him and the team.”
