Dave Tarpey is back at Maidenhead United – the club where he made his goalscoring name.
The Barnet striker, 30, has re-signed for the Magpies until January as he continues to recover from a long-term injury.
Tarpey proved a huge hit in his first spell at York Road after scoring 46 goals in helping the Mapgies with the National League South title in 2016-17.
He then added another seven before the August 2017 transfer window, earning him a deadline day move into the Football League with then League Two side Barnet.
But, in only his second appearance for the Bees, Tarpey damaged his cruciate ligament – an injury which kept him out for the rest of the campaign.
Now, as he continues his lengthy rehabilitation to full fitness, Tarpey, the former Farnborough and Hampton striker, has found himself back under Alan Devonshire at York Road with the Magpies just one place outside the National League bottom four.
