Kidderminster fans should rest easy over takeover

North Harriers are reassuring fans over the club’s ongoing change of ownership.
Harriers officials have released a statement ahead of Saturday’s trip by John Pemberton‘s side to urging supporters to ignore continuing “rumour and conjecture” over negotiations and details of the parties involved.
A similar statement was released by the club in August following news that chairman and majority shareholder Colin Gordon, pictured, was negotiating to sell the stake he acquired at Aggborough in November 2015.

Harriers are blaming legal issues and procedural delays beyond their control for stopping them from disclosing more details and are promising to update fans as soon as they can.
The statement read: “We would like supporters to be assured that we are very much aware of the desire for further information to be made public about the club’s ownership situation.
“We’d like to reinforce the position of our statement a few weeks ago, which made clear that we will issue a further statement, as soon as anything concrete is agreed and completed. Any delay is as a result of legal process and procedure, much of which is beyond our control.
“Most importantly, we again remind supporters that they should ignore any further conjecture and rumour they may hear or read elsewhere, concerning possible announcements and the roles and positions of any individuals. We will relay the full facts of the matter as soon as it is legally possible to do so, and not before.”
The club added: “We thank fans for their patience, and support of the team at what is, we appreciate, a difficult time.”
