Wrexham v Sutton United, live on BT Sport @ 5.20pm, Saturday 14th September
After last weekend’s live game between two teams who couldn’t stop winning, Saturday’s focus falls on two sides who badly need to get three points on the board.
For Wrexham, it will be more than a month since they last tasted victory.
It’s five games without a win now for the Red Dragons – a far cry from this time last season, when the club were second in the table and about to celebrate a seventh success by mid-September.
Sutton United are just two places and one point better off. Although their ambitions are more modest, their four-game winless run is hampering manager Matt Gray.
A one-point return for each from the last nine available means it’s a match neither side can really afford to lose, especially Wrexham manager Bryan Hughes in front of their expectant home fans.
Letting in goals has been a problem for both, but scoring hasn’t been – which bodes well for the BT Sport viewers on Saturday night.
