FEW would have seen Curzon Ashton’s flying start coming which has earnt Steve Cunningham the National League North top boss.
Curzon saw off Chester, Darlington, Leamington, Gloucester City and Bradford PA in a fantastic first seven games to put them in the early mix.
Promotion, though, will be tough to come by with AFC Fylde leading the way with top midfielder Nick Haughton in fine form and scooping the Player of the Month award.
The Volunteer gong went to Darlington’s Allan Wilson after he stepped up to fill in as secretary early in the season following an emergency.
