Spartans have lost their spark, says O’Donnell

BLYTH Spartans midfielder JJ O’Donnell admits the life has been sucked out of the National League North club after their recent poor run of form that has seen boss Michael Nelson depart.
The Croft Park outfit started the season on a high as an eye-catching summer of recruitment saw several former favourites return to the club as they looked to move on from two seasons of disappointment.
The return of the likes of Nathan Buddle, Dan Maguire and Robbie Dale inspired a strong start to the campaign as Nelson’s side lost just one of their opening eight games in all competition...
