NON-LEAGUE football in the Cheshire area has just lost one of it’s keenest supporters with the death of Thomas (Toddy) Barlow.
Toddy was involved in the game as a player, referee and fundraiser extraordinaire for the whole of his life with Northwich Victoria and later on with 1874 Northwich. He raised thousands of pounds for the two clubs, with bucket collections, raffles, sweepstakes etc.
Fan Nicki has penned a short verse which sums up the legend that was Toddy.
Rain or shine, spade in hand, win or lose, an evergreen fan.
