SOUTHEND UNITED have delved into Step 2 to boost their squad and attempt to get out of relegation trouble.
Chorley’s Harry Cardwell has been joined by Dartford’s Noor Husin ahead of the crucial basement clash with King’s Lynn Town on Friday night.
Striker Cardwell – who was part of the Magpies’ FA Cup run last season and has scored seven in 14 games this term – was recently linked with Chesterfield.
