Summer fun could change club fortunes

I KEEP hearing about a general drop in Non League attendances over the years and how the crowds were double, maybe triple, what they are now in the 1970s, 1980s.
This is largely due to so much Premier League and European games being televised and also because it is easier to travel out of small towns to watch the big games.
So, to re-ignite Non League and make it attractive for fans who would rather watch football on their TV instead of freezing on a winters’ night, then why not play the Non-League season throughout the summer?
