WITTON ALBION have turned to former Manchester City striker Jon Macken in a bid to transform their fortunes.
The 44-year-old replaces long-serving manager Carl Macauley after Albion were relegated from the Northern Premier League Premier Division this term.
Macauley and assistant Gary Martindale left after their contracts expired.
Macken, the former Crystal Palace, Preston and Northwich Victoria forward, said: “If we pull together and work hard, I am sure we can get this club back up the league.
