WELL, it looks like the fight for Basingstoke Town FC to return to play at their home of 70 years is over.
A planning inspector overturned the decision of the local council to refuse planning permission to develop the ground.
Apparently, the inspector thought us playing at the Hants FA headquarters at Winklebury was a good substitute for the Camrose. Don’t get me wrong, without the Hants FA and local council, we would not be back in Basingstoke, but it’s not our home, we just hire it.
