SCUNTHORPE United marked their first-ever game in the National League with a win in the late kick-off.
Iron manager Keith Hill was pleased with the output from his team as they secured the opening-day win.
“I’m happy with the points and the result, but I’m really pleased with the performance,” he said.
“The players were under a little bit of pressure with what happened last season, but with a new group, the way we performed for our supporters was magnificent.”
