MARCU IS AXED BY BEES

BRIDPORT are looking for their seventh manager in three years following the sacking of Edgar Marcu with his side bottom of the South West Peninsula Premier East table.
Marcu, who had been running Paulton Rovers’ under 14s side before he came to St Mary’s Field, took over the helm from Rob Marquis in the summer after Bridport were relegated from the Western Premier Division.
After several heavy defeats, Marcu was informed of his dismissal by chairman Adrian Scadding while on holiday in his native Romania.
Reserves boss Chris Herbst is in caretaker charge.
