SEASONED boss Rudy Funk has been appointed as the new manager of Pickering Town.
Former Scarborough Athletic boss Funk, 65, is the replacement for Steve Roberts, who was sacked by the Northern League Division One strugglers after winning only one of their opening eight games.
Funk, who has also managed Teversal, Rainworth MW, AFC Mansfield, Long Eaton United and, most recently, Clipstone, said: “Pickering has been one of the clubs I’ve always fancied for the simple reason that over the past few years I’ve had some tremendous games here.”
