MEL GWINNETT has been handed his first shot at management with Hampton & Richmond Borough.
The National League South Beavers have appointed the former Barnet and Stevenage assistant boss as Head of Football Operations and first-team manager after parting company with Gary Mc-Cann last month.
Gwinnett, a former goalkeeping coach sat MK Dons and Exeter City, joins the Beavers after a successful spell at Barnet, where he assisted Dean Brennan.
