DARLINGTON’S Paddy Almond is to undergo surgery after suffering a bleed on the brain.
Defender Almond remains under observation at the Royal London Hospital where he was taken after the FA Trophy game with Southend United a fortnight ago.
Fears that surgery would be required within hours of his arrival at the hospital were allayed.
But a Darlington statement read: “Paddy’s medical team have completed a case review after his latest scan and have decided that he should have an operation next week to clear the old blood in his brain that might cause...
