I HAVE enjoyed many a pleasant Saturday at Littlehampton Town over the decades, but sadly, today, society’s ills has reared its ugly head down at the Sportsfield since the club’s promotion.
The unruly behaviour of gangs of youths who have latched themselves on to the club’s success, bringing with them firecrackers, smoke bombs, verbal abuse, pitch invasions and the dreaded drummer, is anathema to the wonderful matchday experience at this level.
Genuine fans do not need reminding of the dark days of the 70s!
