TROWBRIDGE Town are launching a bid to reclaim their former place in the Pyramid.
The original club played in what is now the National League from 1981-84 before being relegated back to the Southern League and folding in 1998.
A replacement team was formed in the Wiltshire Senior League and gained promotion to the Hellenic in 2004 but dropped back down again in 2012.
The club have been topping the Wiltshire Premier this season and have applied for promotion to the Step 6 Western Division One.
