Shout out to a No.1 superfan

WILLIAM HILL Fan of the Year

It’s very rare that the William Hill Fan of the Year isn’t one of the most memorable of the NGA categories. Why? Because the winner has passion for the game flowing through their body.

If receiving a vote – or even a nomination – from your peers as NGA Player, Young Player, or Manager of the Year isn’t humbling enough, to be recognised among your fellow die-hards as showing dedication above all else, is the ultimate honour.

Some of our previous winners put in extraordinary miles to make it to the capital for our NGA Awards Ceremony, setting off from all four corners of the country in the early hours. Many don’t even know why we’ve asked them along!

                                                             FAN POWER: Kristine Green

Indeed, that was the case with our 2022 William Hill Fan of the Year Kristine Green, who saw her team, Grimsby Town, win promotion back to the League via the play-offs last May.

Kristine is not just a die-hard supporter of Grimsby Town, she also holds a number of prestigious roles at the club. She’s the Chair of the Mariners Trust, the Supporter Liaison Officer and now a member of the Grimsby Town board.

Her work off the field help inspire the Mariners on it – and they were rewarded for their efforts with a record-breaking run this season which ended with a quarter-final trip to Brighton & Hove Albion’s Amex Arena last Sunday.

We don’t mind admitting that the William Hill Fan of the Year award is one of our favourite to present – but it just can’t work without your help.

We are inviting you to get your thinking caps on and honour the superfan who has gone over and above the call of duty in support of their club.

It’s our duty to ensure only the pinnacle of top fans leaves with their name engraved on the coveted decanter so let us know, so we can give them the recognition and honour they deserve.
