The road to Wembley is about to reopen after the Football Association confirmed next season’s round dates for their top competitions – and the return of two-legged FA Vase semi-finals.
The FA Cup will kick off with the extra preliminary round on Saturday, August 5, with he preliminary round to follow on Saturday, August 19.
The qualifying rounds finish with the National League Step 1 sides entering on Saturday, October 14, before the first round proper arrives on the weekend of November 4.
The third round proper will take place over the January 6 weekend.
First round qualifying for the Isuzu FA Trophy starts on September 9. Non-League Finals Day will be held on Saturday, May 11 or Sunday, May 12 next year.
The Isuzu FA Vase gets under way on August 26. The return of home and away semi-finals has been much discussed and they are back.
The semi-final first leg will take place on Saturday, March 30, with the second leg a week later on April 6.
The list of clubs accepted into the competitions, as well as round exemptions, will be released on June 30.
