FORMER Football League star Lewis McGugan has expressed his delight at taking joint-charge of home-town team Long Eaton United.
The Blues kicked off life in Southern Premier Central at Leamington yesterday following a tumultuous week. Boss Ian Deakin, who led the club to back-to-back promotions, and his management team were surprisingly sacked on Tuesday.
Deakin admitted he was ‘saddened and disappointed’ with the way his time at Grange Park came to an end.
