FORMER Leeds United and Notts County attacking midfielder Tony Hackworth has been handed the reins of Northern Counties East Premier strugglers Pickering Town on a permanent basis.
Hackworth, who was in interim charge following the departure of Rudy Funk just two games into the season, has appointed centre-back James Poole as his number two. Hackworth, 43, is no stranger to the role having run Pickering a caretaker basis in 2010 and then taking over solely for the 2014-15 season after which he left by mutual consent.
