BRIDGWATER Town fans were left astonished and angry after Dave Pearse was sacked after seven years as manager – having taken them to second in the Western Premier Division table.
New Robins owner Ian Davis made the decision to axe the club favourite after Town’s 2-1 defeat at Torpoint Athletic last Saturday.
It was their third defeat of the season – a tally which Davis described as “unacceptable”, insisting they had cost the club £10,000.
