WINGS IN MOURNING

WELLING UNITED are mourning the loss of club legend Barrie Hobbins, who has been involved with the Wings for more than 60 years.
Along with his dad Syd and brother Graham, Barrie was part of the club’s very beginnings in 1963 as the Kent club progressed from an U15 side in the Eltham & District Sunday League to the top of the Non-League Pyramid.
Tuesday night’s National League South game against Hampton & Richmond Borough will be dedicated to the man they call ‘Mr Welling’.
