■ LINCOLN United’s hopes of catching Premier North leaders Sherwood Colliery took a nosedrive when they were beaten 4-1 at third-placed Loughborough Students.
The visitors found themselves behind after only two minutes when James Cook netted but Ted Gibbons levelled on the break. Dylan Edwards restored the Students’ lead on the half-hour when he slotted home his 23rd goal of the season.
Edwards completed his double in the 56th minute and then Ethan O’Toole made certain when he netted with 12 minutes left.
