TALENTED goalkeeper Harrison Male is set to be at the centre of a summer transfer tug-of-war after announcing he has left relegated Dorking Wanderers.
The 23-year-old swept the board at Dorking’s end-of-season awards, winning the Young Player of the Year, Supporters’ Player of the Year and Players’ Player of The Year.
Male joined the Wands from Worthing last summer and played every minute of the season for Marc White’s men. He has also been capped by England C.
Now, however, he has decided to leave Meadowbank to seek pastures new – and he certainly won’t be short of potential suitors.
“It’s been an absolute pleasure,” boss White said. “From the minute Harrison started with us, even from the early training sessions, it was clear he had an extra edge which I have not seen in a goalkeeper before.
“Harrison is also a really, really top lad. When the relegation was announced, I knew we would struggle to retain him considering his age and the season he has had with us.”
