THE Eastern Counties League play-off final has been postponed after Thetford Town launched an appeal over an ineligible player that has seen them booted out.
The Brecklanders beat Mulbarton Wanderers 2-0 in the semi-final and were due to play Newmarket Town for a place at Step 4.
But it emerged they had played a suspended player and had been removed with Mulbarton set to take their place.
However, the Norfolk outfit say they had no knowledge of the suspension and have exercised their right to appeal which will be heard early this week.
