LEE HOBBS led Plymouth Parkway to one of the greatest escapes in Southern League history – and then promptly called it a day.
Parkway stayed up in Southern League Premier South on the final day following a 1-1 draw at fellow strugglers Beaconsfield Town.
All the more impressive was that the final 10 games were played inside 20 days after bad weather had blitzed their Bolitho Park home.
Hobbs spent seven years at Parkway, taking the club from the South West Peninsula League to Step 3 for the first time its history.
