THE FIRST goalscorer of the 2024-25 FA Cup will guarantee their place in folklore as the earliest ever marksman in the competition’s history.
The current record is held by Jay Malshankskyj of Bishops Cleeve, who netted at 7.48pm on Friday, August 4, 2023, in a 3-3 draw with Thornbury Town.
But that record will be toppled this season after The FA released fixture dates for next season’s competition with the FA Cup’s extra preliminary round kicking off this year on Friday, August 2.
