FIVE-time FA Trophy winner Mark Stimson has been convicted of assault following an incident after a tie in the competition last year.
Former Stevenage Borough, Gillingham and Grays Athletic boss Stimson, 58, had pleaded not guilty but was convicted of assault by beating at a hearing at Stevenage Magistrates’ Court on July 16. He was fined £180 and ordered to pay £50 in compensation, a £72 surcharge and £750 in costs to the Crown Prosecution Service.
