THE North West Counties is back with a bang – after a staggering figure of 138 goals were scored in just 30 midweek matches!
No fewer than 65 goals were scored in the 12 Step 5 Premier Division games alone – an astounding average of over five per game.
Longridge Town bagged eight of them in a thumping of Colne, while Bury bashed Abbey Hey 7-1 on the road.
FC St Helens edged a nine-goal thriller with FC Isle of Man and AFC Liverpool beat Squires Gate 5-3.
