I’VE been watching football of all levels since the 1950s and I have never witnessed such a farcical situation as occurred in the National League South match between Truro City and Dorking Wanderers last Saturday.
What should have been a showcase event, with Truro playing their first home match in a brand new stadium in front of 2,676 spectators, was reduced to a nonsencical farce when the referee led out both teams wearing identical red and black colours.
