PROMOTION-winning boss Elliot Sandy says he can look back on his time in charge of Spalding United with “immense pride” after being sacked just three games into the new season.
Rookie boss Sandy paid the price for Tuesday night’s 4-0 defeat to his former club Kettering Town, just four months after leading the Tulips into Step 3 for the first time in their history.
Sandy, 39, took over the Tulips reign following the departure of Brett Whaley and led Spalding to the play-offs in his maiden campaign where they were beaten in the final by Halesowen Town.
