Wands were at fault for kit clash

IN answer to the comments on the kit clash between Truro City v Dorking Wanderers (Fans’ Forum, August 18), normally it’s the club secretary or fixture secretary who liaises with his opponents on such matters.
The responsibility would have been for Dorking to change into their away or third kit and, if this is not possible, then the home side may offer to change. But they are not obliged to do this and, failing that, it falls down to the referee.
Before the game, a shirt from either side should be presented to the referee for his/her approval.
