BEN Townsend found himself an unusual but crucial role for Stocksbridge Park Steels in their most recent FA Trophy tie; goal scorer, instead of shot-stopper.
The Steels’ goalkeeper converted the decisive spot-kick in a thrilling penalty shootout victory over Wythenshawe Town to clinch a place in the third qualifying round.
